Expert 4KTransmitter with H.265 and 4k in one backpack
The WMT EXPERT 4K is the first bonded backpack transmitter that provides mobile 4K. The EXPERT 4K supports both H.265 and H.264 encoding to insure an end to end compliancy using standard based decoders or IRD’s. The EXPERT 4K offers,besides the live option, also a recording feature which records the video on the internal solid state disk. Recordings can be forwarded to an FTP server using the store and forward mode insuring the highest quality possible. Like most WMT systems also a hotspot is available for Internet access. The hotspot uses the bonded bandwidth of all modems together providing enormous upload speeds. But in all circumstances video is prioritized and the reminder made available for data traffic. So there are no risks regarding automatic updates disturbing a live transmission.The unit supports transmission via Ka-sat and has a default storage capacity of 120 GB which can be upgraded until one TB. Available accessories are a high gain dome antenna, hot swap battery plates and antenna extenders for roof top car mounting. The Expert 4K is compliant with the installed base of decoders using 1080i and 720P but for 4K a new decoder is required. Our WMT Expert solutions bundle up to 8 mobile network channels (LTE, HSPA+, HSUPA,HSDPA and UMTS) of one or multiple operators into a single broadband channel to provide sufficient upload capacity for video and other high volume data. Bandwidth depends on the coverage and the availability of multiple mobile networks and network technology (2.5G/3G/3.5G/4G) at the location. In addition it is also possible to add Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections to maximize the upload capacity. The upload capacity of the WMT™ ranges between 500 kbps and 50 Mbps. The WMT utilizes its bundling technology to become a high volume data Store & Forward unit. This means that the WMT uses its entire available upload bandwidth to transport any kind of file through its connections to an FTP server. IFB or return audio is also available at less than a second delay.
